Hello Guys,

My name is Kingsley Peace and it’s a great pleasure to be with you here today. Alright, let’s recap – what was last topic in the previous show? Yeah, I believe we spoke about a Pessimist and an Optimist and then headed-on to the character traits of these two personalities.

Oh yes, we also got to decide where we stand – where you stand and where I stand – and how we could work together to fulfill a great and brighter future for our generation. I hope you’re still there. Right now, as of the moment, we would be talking in-depth about the consequences of being a Pessimist alongside the character of this personality on a much smaller scale.

So, let’s hit the road.

First-off, What’s a Consequence?

Well, more often than not, this word has always carried a negative connotation and now is interpreted to be linked to bad outcomes. Although this is true to some extent, there are still portions omitted – I mean a ‘consequence’ is not just linked to negativity but also to positivity.

As it’s mere meaning blatantly addresses it to be ‘the outcome of an event especially as relative to an individual’ or just, ‘having important effects or influence’ – which works in both ways…negative or positive. Simply put, an outcome or an effect could neither be negative or positive and today we’d be focusing mainly on the negative.

So, Consequence № 1 would be…Depression.

Depression

As a Pessimist, this would be inevitable – something that can’t be escaped and is surely bond to happen.

Here and there…in every corner…and at every little step, you’d find yourself depressed at various levels of severity and even with the slightest chance of any occurrence or happening, you’d find yourself in the midst of depression. That’s the point of it all and also one sad truth about pessimism. It just diminishes your whole spirit and causes you to feel down, whereas, making you slower in progress.

You know, depression is simply a mental state characterized by a pessimistic sense of inadequacy and a despondent lack of activity; in short, a lost hope. And if you have nothing to live for and no hope to cling to, you’d tend to view yourself more differently. More like a failure than a success or as a loser not a winner; even worse, as a good-for-nothing and a useless personality.

Now, here’s a truth you must never forget – the bible says in

             John 3:15-16 (KJV)

15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.   16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Let’s reason out this scripture in meditation. Now if I read correctly, I believe the bible said Jesus came to die for us. Therefore, it is vividly clear that we’re not useless or any ‘good-for-nothing’. No! God loves us to the greatest extent there is.

How God Sees You

So, if you think you’re so useless…worthless…or even a good-for-nothing. Why then would God upon all His supremacy consider you as his greatest and most priced treasure? Even to the extent of giving up His most begotten son – whom He loved so much – for your sake.

Would you have done this…even for, a stranger?  I thought so. Yet, He did it for you…for us.

Despite the fact we were sinners. But why? Simply because, He saw a treasure on a deserted field. He saw you amidst this dark world and couldn’t stand to let you die off. He saw greatness in you and so took it upon himself to save you.
