“Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.”
Don’t know who said that but I’ve heard it a lot in the movies. I have two questions.
First: Y should we do that? @ the quote
Second: Hey, didn’t you say you and Jane are really close? @ Jade 🙂 😉

Yes, I did.

I’ll think of something. But until then, watch your back. You never know when I may strike.

Give it your best shot, cowboy.

I think it is because when you keep your enemies closer you will know what they are planning to do next
April 2, 2017 at 10:44 pm #1645
Oh ok @ Kim. But isn’t that risky? I mean, makes it easier for them to get you / catch you unawares.

Well, in a sense, yes. That’s true. However, it also makes it easier for you to escape their plans and trap because you are now fully aware of their next move and schemes. You are practically two steps ahead now. 🙂

Wow, aren’t we supposed to be analyzing that great quote at the top of the conversation? lol lol lol
Can anybody provide a better explanation……please?
I, for one, don’t have enemies so it doesn’t apply to me. lol lol

How’s that even possible? @Cassie.
Everyone has enemies.
April 11, 2017 at 3:52 pm #2052
It’s simple; it takes two people to fight and I refuse to be part of the fight.
I don’t mind the fact that some people might not agree with me. I just refuse to give haters my attention. It’s too big a price to pay dear.
life is short, for most people, so don’t waste it on haters.

That’s one perspective of being enemies.
Another worldwide fact is THE DEVIL IS EVERY CHRISTIAN’s ENEMY.
Soo, you DO have one.

Yes, Mathilda, the devil is our enemy.
However, taking Cassandra’s statement in context with mason’s quote, i don’t think he (the devil) is qualified to be considered a friend or foe.
“keep your friends close, and your enemies closer.”
If he was considered my friend, then I would be expected to keep him close😨😨😨 (I would rather lie by a viper).🙁🙁
But that’s not all. You called him our enemy, which means that we are to keep him even closer that our friends.😱😱😱😱😱 would you?
I agree with Cassandra, just because somebody is calling you names doesn’t mean you should yell back. They might not like you. But to call them enemies means that you have accepted their invitation to rivalry, are ready to dance with them.
I’d rather not do that; I’ve got too much things on my plate. I can’t afford to waste my time on somebody who has nothing better to do than to cause a fight.
So, if you call yourself my enemy, you’re alone in that.
